Hello Toasties, and welcome to 2014! I hope you had a great Christmas and New Years, mine was particularly quiet as I was child-free for the entire holidays, quite a treat I can tell you! I hope you were kept safe and dry as our counties were lashed by the storms. My own home is protected by £44 million flood defences which, by and large worked. There was a concerning bubble of water coming through the flood defence wall, however, and I suspect the council will be working in the summer to repair it. What a start to the year!
January sees the second round of Club Officer Training sessions. I only have information from Areas 14 and 32, included below. Remember that you are welcome to attend COTs outside your area if you can’t attend the one organised by your area governor. All members are welcome to attend Club Officer Training. If you’re thinking about serving on your club committee, attending COT is a great way to find out what’s involved.
I will be attending District Officer Training in Stansted at the the end of January. This is a good opportunity for me to pass on any questions you might have for the District Leadership Team, so do let me know.
The next Division Workshop will be held on the 15th of February, please do come along if you can. We will have some excellent presenters helping you hone your speech for the International Speech Contest club rounds in March.
