Spinnakers and The Prince’s Trust

Spinnaker PT Cert ImageSpinnaker Speakers, a pre-charter club in Portsmouth, is doing amazing work with the Prince’s Trust. They are working with young people to develop their confidence and public speaking skills as part of The Prince’s Trust Team Programme, a 12-week self development program for young people aged between 16 and 25 years.

Did you know there are almost one million young people not in education, employment or training? Spinnaker and their sister clubs Arun and Solent in Area 32 are helping young people get their confidence and their lives back on track.

In recognition of their achievement, Spinnaker, Solent and Arun Speakers have been awarded a certificate, signed by HRH the Prince of Wales, for their work in helping young people on the Princes Trust course back into work and education. Congratulations, Spinnaker and all in Area 32!!

As one of the Toastmaserts Mentors involved with the Princes Trust I can highly recommend it. Working with these young people is inspiring. It is also a great way for neighbouring clubs to collaborate.
